With the COVID-19 global pandemic, thousands lost their jobs due to economic restrictions globally, and this is the same case with Canada. Over 3 million jobs were lost as a result of the pandemic. According to recent statistics, a survey done on employment, payroll, and hours found that the economic downturn from coronavirus is seeing a sharp turnaround after a steep downfall.

However, despite this being the case, Canada welcomed nearly 19,200 new permanent residents in June 2020 which is good news for aspiring immigrants!
